Then one August morning at a hotpot restaurant in Newport, they taught each other instead: a chef who grounds a room with a song before he feeds it, a president who imports containers from China and forgives the ones that go wrong, a process engineer who can find seven kinds of waste in any room he sits in, a clinic builder who explains stem cells like text messages, and a systems founder who recorded all of it and let a machine write the memory. They called it True North ~ seven people from the south, looking for the same star. None of them is the story alone. The council is.
